Life is always fun when there are kids involved! It was a blast to have the three cousins together. They are fairly close in age, but since the distance keeps them apart, they haven't had much time to get to know one another. Having a week together was precious! (L-R: Jayden, Joshua, Johnathon)
Kids so often look innocent. (Isn't that the face of innocence?)
But in reality they keep us on our toes! John was always moving and getting himself into these types of positions! (Don't worry -- no children were hurt during the taking of these pictures!)
And Jayden was also quite adventuresome. Here he was getting in the grandparents' stash of Pepsi! Thankfully, he didn't know how to open the can! The last thing we needed was a kid high on caffeine!
The weather over the week of New Year's was pretty chilly. However, Gerson, Jayden and I braved the cold (of course, cold is relative!) and got in the pool on our last day. The weather had warmed up to the 70's! Andy's family was a bit more daring a got in the pool several times during the week. Of course, being from Wisconsin, the 60's felt quite warm to them!
Notice: Gerson and Jayden are both wearing long sleeves. The cool temps didn't keep us from going outside!
We even spent some time on the beach. (Aunt Jamie gave her affection out to all her nephews throughout the week.)
As you can see, there weren't many people on the beach WITH us! (Notice--- Jayden was kicking a soccer ball down the beach. He's learning young!)
Grandma Cookie also showered love on her grandkids. She even braved the wind and sand to be with them. (Does anyone see something that doesn't belong in the photo? Hint: It's big and blue!)
She even got down on her knees to help them build a sand castle! What a great grandma!
And Aunt Jamie? She, too, braved the wind and the sand. She decided that since it was Christmastime and there was no snow to make a snow angel, she'd make a SAND angel! Clever girl.
Here nephews want to be just like her . . . covered from head to toe in SAND! (What a great role model!!!) Of course, she wasn't the one who had to bathe them. :)
Grandma also got to cuddle with her grandkids in the comfort and warmth of the condo. She loves reading them books, and they in turn love having her read to them! It was a win-win situation!
And, truthfully, Aunt Jamie is a fabulous role model for her nephews (sand angel or not!). She dotes on them, loves them, hugs them, and prays for them. Who could ask for more? (And, yes, if we would have asked her, she would have bathed her very sandy nephews!)

Sand angels! Why not - - - wish I would have thought of that!
