Back Home Again in Indiana

On Saturday, we arrived back home in Indiana after a whirlwind of trips. In the last month, we've been to Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Texas! Hence, my blog has been silent! :)

We travled to Illinois to speak in a church. We had a wonderful service in a small United Methodist Church in southern Illinois. It is a church I visited back in 2002, if I remember correctly. It was wonderful to see the incredible people from there again. We praise the Lord for all the churches who love, pray for, and support missionaries!

After a brief stop back at home, we travled to Pennsylvania for family reunion on my mother's side of the family. That was a wonderful weekend of catching up with family, some of whom I hadn't seen since moving to Bolivia 6 years ago. It was also fun to introduce many of them to my husband and son for the first time! On Sunday morning, it was a blessing for Gerson to be able to share his testimony with my family. We were sad to say goodbye.

Our last trip took us to McAllen, Texas. We felt the Lord calling us to work there, but thought it would be helpful and wise to travel there and see the ministries and spend time with the other missionaries who currently are there. It was an amazing trip! God confirmed in so many ways that we are headed on the right path. We came away from our time in Texas with excitement and joy about where God is leading us.

I will write much more and also add more pictures when I get the pictures downloaded on my computer. I just wanted to let you all know that we are doing well, but staying incredibly busy as we travel to raise our support. We ask for your continued prayers as our schedule continues to be busy. Friday we leave for Iowa and we will be speaking in a Men With Vision meeting on Saturday morning.

By the way, the photo above is of Jayden with 2 other missionary kids who are in McAllen, Ariela and Ariana. The girls were smitten with Jayden, and he was smitten with them! They were such a blessing as they helped me with him when I had other responsibilities.

Again, I will try to write more and post more pictures soon! Rest assured we are doing well. In this case, my silence has been due to the craziness of our schedule and not because of any crisis! We love you all.
