Fun with Family

It was awesome to be with family over Memorial Day weekend. Everyone except for Peter made it to the old homestead in Sumner, Illinois, where my parents now live. We missed Pete a lot, but were able to Skype with him in Iraq. That was a blessing! It was joy to see the 3 cousins play together throughout the weekend. (L-R: Johnathon - 14 mo.; Jayden - 18 mo.; Joshua - 3 yrs.)
Aunt Jamie had a good time with her nephews. She even got to "interview" Josh for the radio station she works for, WBCL. Josh did an awesome job, if I do say so myself!

Aunt Jamie also had fun just holding her nephews and playing with them. They all love her, too!

Andy, Elissa, and boys are doing well. They live in Milwaukee (not sure about spelling!), Wisconsin where they just purchased thier first house! We don't get to see them very much, but it's always a joy to get together. It's super fun that the boys are so close in age.

Aunt Jamie also got to see what it's like to handle THREE kids at the same time. This is one of the "tamer" pictures. I thought I'd be kind! :) Needless to say, I think she's decided she never wants to have triplets!

And of course, we are so thankful for our parents, or Grandma and Grandpa to our kids. They opened their home us, and that's a BIG undertaking! It was great to see all the improvements they've done on the "old" house. We are all so thankful they have retired and are enjoying life! Can't wait to eat some produce from Dad's garden! So glad he now has the time to actually plant his garden! I'm so thankful for such a wonderful family and looking forward to the day when Pete's home and we're all together again.
