Trip to Trinidad

Gerson's sisters, Cathy and Silvana, taking a snooze on the trip to Trinidad.

In February, Gerson and I returned to Trinidad, where I lived for my first 3 years in Bolivia. We went for the purpose of helping with the youth camp. Gerson used his gifts of music and teaching to hold praise and worship workshops, as well as give a daily devotional in an assembly setting. I enjoyed being his helpmate, working behind the scenes to insure he was well-prepared. We even did one devotional together, team teaching. That was a lot of fun!

We drove to Trinidad in our new vehicle, a Toyota Rav4. We also took a carload with us! It was a LONG trip. Gerson's two sisters, Cathy and Silvana, went with us. We also took one of Gerson's disciples, Abner, and one of Gerson's good friends from Tarija, Victor. It was an awesome trip, and we enjoyed ministering together as a couple, as well as renewing some of my old friendships.

Tamara -- The Other Family Member

We got Tamara as a little puppy. She's grown up and is almost a year old now. She's sweet-tempered and loves to be spoiled -- mostly by Gerson. She follows the commands to "sit" and "shake" consistently. Gerson has even taught her which is her right and left paws! When it's really cold, Gerson insists on putting some sort of shirt or jacket on her. It makes me laugh! Also, although she's a WHITE lab, she spends a lot of time BLACK because she loves to play in the mud with her golden retriever friend, Eli. We tease about it, saying she wants to be like BOTH of her "parents!" She can't decide if she wants to be white or black!

Bonsai Beauty

Gerson has begun a new hobby -- raising bonsai plants! He often spends hours outside on the back patio pruning and taking care of his "babies."
