These are photos taken by Sheryl. I forgot to use them in the last post. Thanks, Sheryl!!After being beach bums for a couple of hours, we had lunch at a place called Pirates Landing in Port Isabel. Port Isabel is located on the inland side of the bridge that leads to South Padre Island. As you can see from the picture, Jayden wasn't sure what to think of Daddy as a pirate!
The food was pretty tasty. Gerson ordered fajitas and Sheryl and I both ordered a hamburger. Of course, AFTER we ordered, we realized the menu had said it was a 1/2 lb. hamburger! Sure, enough, when we got them they were HUGE! Reminder to self: Next time share a hamburger with someone!
On our way home we had a tragedy. This bug got stuck in our windshield wiper. We watched him suffer as his wings flailed to no avail. Gerson turned on the wipers, hoping to help liberate him. It didn't work. So for 90 miles we had this bug looking at us as he suffered a horrible death. When we got home, Gerson freed him, but it was too late. :( May he rest in peace.
