Hello Friends,
Sorry we´ve been so silent. You probably think we´ve fallen off the planet! I assure, we have not. I don´t think I´ve ever gone a month without posting, though. Truth is, we are in Bolivia for the holidays. Most of you probably know that, but for those of you who didn´t know, I wanted to assure you that all is well.
I have internet access here, but when I´ve tried to download pictures onto my blog, it has taken TOOOOO long. Hence, this post without photos. Rest assured, when we return to good, old, snowy Indiana, we will have many photos to post!
We are enjoying our time in Bolivia. It´s been beautiful to see Jayden getting to know his Bolivian family and really getting attached to them. It will be hard to say goodbye. It´s also been amazing to see God at work in the youth we discipled. The seeds the Lord allowed us to plant have taken root and bearing much fruit! We praise the Lord for what is happening here and look forwad to sharing more with you in the days to come.
Thank you for your prayers. We will be returning home on the 8th of January. Please pray for safety while we are here, safety as we travel back to the US, smooth going in customs in Miami, and health for all of us as we are here during the summer months and it is HOT and there are many mosquitos. Jayden has suffered from heat rash, but is doing much better now.
We love and appreciate all of you and look forward to sharing more about our trip in the days to come! Hope you had a very Merry Christmas and are looking forward to incredible New Year!

So good to hear from you in a blog post!
Tell Gerson the COLTS are driving me CRAZY tonight - - - we are still undefeated, but may be beaten in this game. We are playing our back up QB - - - whom I call a leprechaun 'cause that's what he LOOKS like in his helmet - - - and he is BAD BAD BAD!!!!
I keep screaming at the TV, saying "get the leprechaun OUT of there" but they aren't listening to me!
They're trying to "REST" our starters so they won't get injured in the playoffs, and since we've won enough games to have home field advantage throughout the playoffs, I guess the coaches think that is wise.
I HATE IT!!!!!!!!!! CAN YOU HEAR ME SCREAMING ALL THE WAY TO BOLIVIA?????? YAH - - - THAT STRANGE NOISE YOU JUST HEARD, THAT WAS ME SCREAMING!!!!
:-0
thanks so much for posting Betsy! I've been thinking of you and praying for the things we prayed for before you left. Glad you are enjoying yourself. Can't wait to hear more about the students and the fruit you see growing in their lives. What a blessing to be able to see it. That isn't something we always have the opportunity to see. I will look forward to hearing all about your trip when you return. Enjoy your time with your family and friends!!
Keetha, we kept up with the game through the internet. I was quite frustrated myself, and I wasn´t even watching. I was soooo sad to see we lost. Booo hoooo. Glad we didn´t have to watch it!!
Thanks, Vickie, for your prayers. I´ve been praying for you, too, and thinking about your often. Hope the semester ended well and you´re enjoying your vacation. Looking forward to seeing you upon our return!
I think it was even WORSE that they lost on PURPOSE. The orders came down from the team management - - - pull out the starters. Soooooooooo irritating and FRUSTRATING!
Yeah. I can understand your frustration. Can´t sports just be sports? Why is even sports so political?
