Today I got a call from the doctor to tell me that our son had kicked out his pic-line!! Of course, Daddy is thrilled he's exercising those future soccer legs, but we aren't happy he has to have a pic-line put in again tomorrow.
Now, the question is: Does Jayden know something we don't? Throughout the weeks he's been in the hospital he's had a habit of pulling out his tubes and being quite annoyed by all the cables. Once after Jayden had pulled something out, Gerson said to me, "He's a boy of faith! He knows God has healed him!" Tonight when I talked to my dad, he said something similar. He said, 'The boy's had a revelation from God! He knows it's time to come home!" I say a resounding, "AMEN."

He's getting bigger and I know it's more of a challenge to keep him engaged in the hospital. Before, he just pretty much slept. Now he has spurts of being wide awake and desires to be entertained. There are many times when no one is there to spend time with him. That's hard on me as a mom and it has to be hard on him as well. We are ready for him to come home!
We are thrilled with his progress, but it's just slow going to get him feeding on a bottle as well as weaning him off his oxygen. He did have one night this week that he was able to be on room air. So, things are going better, but we're all just getting tired of waiting. We appreciate all your prayers.

May God give you the strength for these final miles.... and we pray that the end of Jayden's hospitalization is in it's final mile and that in a few weeks he will be at home with both of you. May God's peace fill your hearts as you travel these days and may God's wisdom be given to the doctors so they can know when Jayden is ready to be home... hopefully sooner rather than later......If not Kalei and Michelle will begin to worry about the easter bunny being able to find little Jayden ;-) Lots of Love Miguel, Kim, Kalei, and Michelle
As I read and caught up today on your blog these thoughts ran through my mind. God is doing great things through little Jayden and even though you ready for the hosptial stay to be over I know that God is using his little life in that hosptial to bring about His glory!! Is there not great joy than for our children to be used for His glory!! What a blessing!! It won't be long! We are praying!!
Hi Brooke! Thanks for your Christmas letter and picture! It brought a smile to my face. Thanks for your prayers! :)
Jajajaja! Thanks, Kim, for those words. Tell the girls that the Easter Bunny will find Jayden. I don't want them worrying! Give them hugs from me. They are too precious!
Wow, Vickie, thanks for the reminder. It's true. We prayed Jayden would bring God glory with his life, and God has answered. There IS great joy and peace in that. It's always good to be reminded of God's faithfulness! He loves us so much!
Gerson, Betsy and Jayden,
Hey! It's been a long time and we've caught up with your blog and we are so happy for your little bundle of joy :) We met up with the Patricks and they gave us your blog site. It was so good to hear how you are doing and that Jayden is growing! We'd love to come and visit sometime. We miss our times with you both and our game days :) Give Gerson and Jayden our love.
