My parents and I went to visit my grandparents in May. Although we had a lot of fun, my grandpa put my daddy to work! Of course, Daddy was glad to give a helping hand around the farm! 
Grandpa has a lot of work to do on the farm. My great-grandpa was in the nursing home for several years, so when Grandpa moved back to the farm, there was a lot of maintance to catch up on. The main thing Daddy helped Grandpa with was putting in a drainage system in the backyard.
Of course, Grandpa didn't expect Daddy to do all the work. He helped out, too. They dug, and dug, and dug on the trench where they wanted the water to drain.
Then they laid the pipe. (As you can see, Grandpa decided to "rest" for awhile on the lawn mower while Daddy kept working. By the way, it was a HOT day when all of this was taking place!) Daddy poured some of the water from his water bottle down into the pipe to see if gravity would do it's job. It worked! Who needs fancy tools?
After all that hard labor, once the pipe was laid, they decide to make the last job easier. Grandpa got his tractor our to push all the piles of dirt back over the pipeline. What a great idea! Daddy used hand signals to help Grandpa get the bucket in just the right place to push the dirt over the trench. They worked well together!
I can only speak for myself, but after seeing all their hard work and being out in the hot sun, I was tuckered! It was time for a much-needed nap!
