Friday, March 27, 2009 --- The day we brought our son home from the hospital. Already we're learning what it means to travel with an infant ---- taking everything except the kitchen sink!!
What's all the fuss about?
Our great joy was bittersweet as we watched the nurses who have taken such great care of our son say their goodbyes to him. Joy and Erin were able to be there to see Jayden off. They, along with his night nurse Stacy, have been such a blessing to us as they have loved and cared for Jayden. Thanks, Joy, Erin, and Stacy for loving our little guy and giving him affection on the days we couldn't make it to the hospital. We love you!

Proud Daddy. . .

Photo shoot ---- Proud parents with proud nurses. We've waited a LONG time for this day to arrive!

Farewell kisses . . .

and more kisses . . .

and more kisses!

Daddy got to drive us home! He drove SLOWLY . . . really! As he said, we had precious cargo with us in the back seat!

My job was to sit in the back seat with Jayden and hold his pacifier in for him.

And our son . . . all the excitement wore him out! He slept the whole ride home.

Didn't even wake up to see his new home. . . until it was time to eat, that is!
God is faithful. May Jayden's story and life continue to bring God glory for all He has done, all He is doing, and all He will do.
Thanks for joining us on this journey. It's just the beginning!!!!

You got to go home a day early!!!!
Well, considering how long you've been in NICU, that sounds rather like an oxymoron - - - but you know what I mean!!!!
